A well-deserved prize

I had a hard day today. I woke up at 6AM, preparing for the interview which was at 7:30, then I went straight to work and I was so tired that I barely survived the day.

I decided that since I've been working hard, I deserve a treat! So I got myself a delicious red velvet cupcake and enjoyed it immensely!! :D yum!!

Leopard Print

I've realized that I love leopard print and have a lot of things with this pattern! I don't remember when it started but it has become a very "Larisa" thing :D

I decided I should have a post about all the things I have now and another one later about the ones I want :)

Pumps I wore to graduation!

One of my favorite belts

The purse

Belt I got in New York

Scarf from Germany

My favorite things

Here are my three favorite things right now that I wear as much as possible!!
(although today I just put on black nail polish hehe)

1. Marc Jacobs Lola perfume
2. Rimmel Red Rock Nail Polish
3. Ralph Lauren knot earrings

Inspiration

I was looking through lookbook.nu and I found pictures of this girl from Sweden - I think she's like 14! But I just think she has great style. I love this outfit.

Also a new thing emerging for me - dark lipstick. I have all kinds of really bright shades, but I've never worn dark lipstick before and I really want to try it. I think if you do it right, it just attracts people to look at you (in a good way). I'd have to find the right shade for my complexion. I do have a darkish shade that's part of a make up kit, I think I'm going to try it this week :)

New Boots

Aldo. Brown with golden buckles. So comfortable! I have a scarf that goes perfectly with them. Now I just need a nice belt and a new purse ;)

New Hair!

So I finally did it! Just went to the store (and spent 40 minutes choosing the shade hehe), bought the hair dye and boom - rich, dark, chocolate shade, perfect for the fall :)

I took several pictures (in different lighting because it looks different, you know :)) and with something that I wear all the time - like my favorite black winter coat :)

Do you like it?

Designer Interview About Must-Have Shoes!

Interview with Brian Atwood: http://www.brianatwood.com/

Vitamin Daily:
How do you like Milan?
Brian Atwood: I love Milan, Milan has been a special place for me. It is where I started my business, most people have a love hate relationship with it, but I have a love, and when I hate it, I go to New York. I have both options.

VD: What's the key shoe for fall winter 2011?

BA: Definitely the crossover platform pump with the spiked metal heel called Follow Me because it is enticing. Its available in purple patent and nude patent. I love an entrance maker and an exit maker. The pump with all the studs on the back is also a good one for fall.

VD: Where do you get your inspiration?

BA: It changes every season, but I think the qualities of the women is something I always have in mind. Iconic, historical references like Faye Dunaway or Marisa Berensen are always in the back of my mind, whether it is them or the more modern version, like Mila Kunis. It is always that type of woman. And I'm inspired by music and materials, like when I get new skins. Its a very hands on, creative process.

VD: What would you say are the key pieces a woman needs in her footwear wardrobe?

BA: It's a 5 rule, you need a pump, whether it is platform or single soled, an ankle boot, a metallic sandal that you can wear for evening or casual with jeans, a peep toe that you can wear for evening all the time and either a thigh high or a long boot.

VD:Who is the most exciting celebrity that has worn your shoes?

BA: Madonna was great. Anne Hathaway for the Oscars last year was amazing. I also love dressing the young girls, like Mila Kunis, Emma Stone, and Kristen Stewart.

Casual Chic

Love the plaid shirt and the navy pants

And especially all the accessories: belt, bracelets, watch + ring = perfect

Boots I love

I love Michael Kors boots. Especially the orange brown riding boot with the golden chain - I would buy them in a flash but I don't have a purse or accessories to go with it so I'd need a whole new wardrobe :D

The dark brown suede boots (also from MK) I would wear like every day.

And then of course there's the booties! The light brown suede booty in the corner is similar to the black suede I just bought :)
